Internet Use and the Terror Attacks

In the days immediately following the September 11 attacks, the number of Americans online dropped. But there were signs by the end of September that online activity was returning to the usual levels. At the same time, there were many more Americans getting news online. And many used email and Web searches to gather information and communicate about the attacks.
