Podcasting has far to go before entering mainstream

'"Back in 2005 the New Oxford American Dictionary named "podcasting" its word of the year. At that point It certainly looked like the downloadable audio and video programs would radically change the way we consume media, and would empower amateurs to become popular producers.
New data from the Pew Internet and American Life Project finds just 19 percent of all Internet users have downloaded a podcast so they could listen or watch it later. That's up from 12 percent in August 2006, but very few Internet users actually download podcasts on a typical day, according to Pew's Mary Madden."
Many news sites move articles into data bases after a period of time and then offer them for sale, in the process changing the URLs that link to them. Or they require registration. Thus, we provide a link to the front page of the news website and the information necessary to find the story on that site, rather than a direct link to the article
